Mentors Needed: YouthLinc Opportunity

Mentors needed a humanitarian trips!

Youthlinc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Salt Lake City, is a humanitarian organization with the mission of creating lifetime humanitarians. They take groups on international service trips every year for the past 23 years. Youthlinc partners with international nonprofits doing fantastic work in developing countries, and they have 12 groups traveling this summer that need medical professionals on each group.

If you have ever wanted to do impactful and intentional service abroad, this is a great opportunity for you! I have personally volunteered with them throughout the past 17 years.

Each team does projects related to community health, cultural exchange, empowering women, ecological impact, and infrastructure support. They need your help as professionals to oversee projects relating to community health, cultural exchange, vocational training, ecological work, and business development projects and to consult as needed with the health of the team members when traveling. You will receive training starting from now until trips leave in the summer.

You will also be mentoring high school and college-aged humanitarians who are desiring to apply their academic understanding of how to do good in the world in a project-based, practical environment. Students do 80 hours of local service in their own communities before they qualify for the two-week international trip.

Of the 12 trips Youthlinc has planned, they still need mentors on several of them, including: India, Peru, Fiji, Thailand, Cambodia, Rwanda, and Kenya.

The cost of the trip ranges between $3800-$4600. Cost includes all international flights, accommodation, meals, insurance, training, projects, and coordination from vetted international partners.
