IPE Program hiring 2 TAs for the 2023-24
CALL FOR IPE TA
The IPE Program is hiring 2 TAs for the 2023-24 academic year. The TA appointment is for 10 hours per week. TAs are hired in the Tuition Benefit Program (TBP) eligible job codes.
TA Compensation:
· 10 hrs/wk = $5,000 per semester
Each level of compensation is afforded an additional % tuition benefit as long as a student qualifies for the U’s TBP Program. Please visit https://gradschool.utah.edu/tbp/tuition-benefit-program-guidelines/ to determine your eligibility for tuition benefits on top of TA/GA compensation.
TAs within the IPE Program traditionally have the following responsibilities:
· Present for IPE simulations to support faculty facilitators and student participants (generally on Fridays, ranges from 5-7 Fridays per semester, depending on simulation).
· Verify completion of assignments, serve as the primary contact for assigned IPE course to address logistics questions posed by students, and input grades. TAs are generally assigned to serve as primary support for 1 IPE course per semester but may provide back-up to a fellow TA. TAs are involved in helping plan and implement logistics associated with assigned simulation. TAs work closely with faculty from multiple disciplines and IPE Program Coordinator.
· Participate in IPE committee meetings with faculty related to curriculum development, research and scholarship, and IPE Program growth.
NOTE: The majority of IPE TA work can be done remotely. However, there are several times during a semester when a TA might be required to attend in-person simulations.
