TA Compensation:

  • $20/hour, 10 hours/week

    • Update and modify existing course content as faculty leads alter course content over the semester.
    • Manage deadlines (i.e., following up with assignments, exams, rubrics, the simulation sessions).
    • Manage and track the completion of assignments and grading progress.
  • Serve as the primary contact for their IPE courses and address all logistics questions posed by students or triage inquiries to the faculty lead(s) or IPE Program Coordinator if they cannot be easily answered by the TA.
  • Attend meetings throughout academic year with IPE Program Coordinator, faculty leads, and other TAs to maintain open communication, provide feedback, and receive ongoing support with TA duties, issues, course details, and challenges that arise.
  • Participate in a course feedback session at the end of every semester with the IPE leadership team and faculty leads.
  • Implement a code of confidentiality when overseeing sensitive academic content in accordance with the University of Utah policies and FERPA guidelines.
