Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC)

Dear Graduate Advisors,

I hope this message finds you well! I’m reaching out to introduce you to an exciting initiative that can enhance the graduate student experience on our campus: the Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC).

The GPSC is a volunteer council of graduate students created for graduate and professional students to voice their concerns, share ideas, and engage in meaningful activities that enrich our campus community. Our mission is to advocate for the interests of graduate students, promote professional development, and foster a collaborative environment.

Here are some key points about the GPSC:

      • Student Representation: The council provides a direct line of communication between students and the administration, ensuring that their voices are heard on important issues.

      •  Networking Opportunities: Students will have the chance to connect with peers, faculty, and staff, building valuable relationships that extend beyond their studies.

      •  Event Organization: The GPSC hosts events, workshops, and programs that focus on professional development, wellness, and community engagement.

      •  Leadership Development: Participation offers students the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and gain experience that will serve them well in their future careers.

We encourage you to share this information with your students. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please feel free to reach out. Thank you for your support in helping us foster a vibrant and inclusive community!

Best regards,
